Hi, I'm Mallary. I've been photographing Tampa Bay professionals since 2018 — and somewhere along the way, helping accomplished people actually like their own headshot became the entire mission.

My approach is simple.

You walk into the studio. Within the first three minutes, the camera is shooting and you've forgotten you're being photographed. That's the whole game.

I've watched hundreds of brilliant Tampa Bay professionals sit down in front of a camera, freeze, and tell me they "don't photograph well." Almost none of them are right. What they actually mean is that nobody has ever directed them properly. So that's what we do — direction, real-time review, and a session built around the version of you that you actually want represented online.

Every shoot is tethered, so you see images come up on the monitor as we shoot. No mystery, no waiting weeks to find out whether you got something usable. You leave the studio knowing you have your headshot.

Four things I won't compromise on.

Direction, not guessing.

Every pose, every micro-expression, every angle — I tell you what to do. You don't have to know what to do with your hands or how to smile naturally. That's my job.

Tethered, live review.

Images appear on a monitor as we shoot. We look at them together. We adjust. By the end of the session, you've already chosen the keepers.

Retouching that looks like skin.

Every final image gets professional retouching — but the goal is "you, on a great day," not a glossy filter. People should recognize you when they meet you.

Show up on time, deliver on time.

Sessions start exactly when scheduled. Final images arrive in 1–2 weeks. Rush delivery is available when something's on fire.

A Bit More Background

How Captured by Mallary started.

Captured by Mallary opened in 2018 in Tampa, Florida. The original concept was a full-service portrait studio — families, maternity, newborns, weddings. Over time, the work that lit me up most was headshot work: the energy of helping a working professional walk in nervous and walk out genuinely confident in how they look.

Today, the bulk of the studio's calendar is dedicated to professional headshots — individuals, corporate teams, executive branding, LinkedIn refreshes, realtors, actors, attorneys, physicians, and founders across Tampa Bay. We still photograph the occasional family or graduation session, but headshots are the heart of what happens here.

The studio is in the New Tampa area, with easy access from Wesley Chapel, Temple Terrace, Lutz, USF, and downtown. For corporate clients, I bring a full mobile studio setup to your office anywhere in the Tampa Bay metro — same lighting, same direction, same retouching, just at your conference room.
